DATF: a database of Arabidopsis transcription factors
نویسندگان
چکیده
UNLABELLED We have probably developed the most comprehensive database of Arabidopsis transcription factors (DATF). The DATF contains known and predicted Arabidopsis transcription factors (1827 genes in 56 families) with the unique information of 1177 cloned sequences and many other features including 3D structure templates, EST expression information, transcription factor binding sites and nuclear location signals. AVAILABILITY DATF is freely available at http://datf.cbi.pku.edu.cn

The TRANSFAC database on transcription factors, their binding sites, nucleotide distribution matrices and regulated genes as well as the complementing database TRANSCompel on composite elements have been further enhanced on various levels. A new web interface with different search options and integrated versions of Match and Patch provides increased functionality for TRANSFAC. The list of datab...
متن کاملIsolation of Brassica napus MYC2 gene and analysis of its expression in response to water deficit stress
Manipulation of stress related transcription factors to improve plant stress tolerance is a major goal of current biotechnology researches. MYC2 gene encodes a key stress-related transcription factor involved in Jasmonate (JA) and abscisic acid (ABA) signaling pathways in Arabidopsis. Brassica napus, as a globally important oilseed crop, is a close relative of Arabidopsis. In the present study...
متن کاملDrosophila ATF-2 regulates sleep and locomotor activity in pacemaker neurons.
Stress-activated protein kinases such as p38 regulate the activity of transcription factor ATF-2. However, the physiological role of ATF-2, especially in the brain, is unknown. Here, we found that Drosophila melanogaster ATF-2 (dATF-2) is expressed in large ventral lateral neurons (l-LN(v)s) and also, to a much lesser extent, in small ventral lateral neurons, the pacemaker neurons. Only l-LN(v)...
متن کاملRARTF: database and tools for complete sets of Arabidopsis transcription factors.
More than 5% of all genes in the Arabidopsis thaliana genome have been assumed to code for transcription factors. However, it has been difficult to accurately identify them. To construct proper sets of transcription factors, we used PSI-BLAST and InterProScan, and also checked several families manually. Especially to determine major Arabidopsis transcription factors (MYB, AP2/EREBP, bHLH, NAC, ...
متن کاملMolecular genetic control of leaf lifespan in plants - A review
Leaf senescence constitutes the last stage of leaf development in plants and proceeds through a highly regulated program in order to redistribution of micro- and macro-nutrients from the senescing leaves to the developing/growing plant organs. Initiation and progression of leaf senescence is accompanied by massive sequential alterations at various levels of leaf biology including leaf morpholog...
